BIG HEART 5K, SUNDAY 2nd SEPTEMBER.
For the first time in three years there are currently more Blues than Reds entered in the Big Heart 5K who bodes well for race day as the Blues have suffered agonising defeat to the Reds in each of the last three years! So the pressure is on for a good Blues performance in 2012 as the fans go head to head once again.
Wear your race T shirt with pride and run for your life – especially as this year the race will be electronically timed so every second counts.
The lowest average time will determine the winner so every time will count.
The event will take place once again in Walton Hall Park on the main sports field behind the Sports Hall with a 10.00am start, so plenty of time to get to the Liverpool v Arsenal game in the afternoon!
5K TEAM CHALLENGE, SUNDAY 2nd SEPTEMBER.
If your looking to be the best in the business then here is your chance to prove it. Teams of 4 compete in three categories – Open, Female Only and Family Friends and Charity.
The Open Category is for any combination of male / female runner except all female teams which is the second category. Any combination of family and friends or charity team is the third category.
As with the Big Heart 5K the race will be electronically timed this year so the results will not be in doubt. You will just have to prove you are the best in the business – or alternatively just treat it as a stroll in the park!
